I am an NRA Range Safety Officer and certified in Basic Pistol Safety Training by the NRA as well as Concealed Carry Handgun Training by the State of North Carolina. I am a US Practical Shooting Association member and a competitive combat shooter. As a life-long owner of firearms, first as a hunter then as a target shooter, I have attended many safety training sessions; from a Basic Hunter safety course to comprehensive Safe Competitor Handgun and NRA Instructor courses; some were great and others were only so-so.

I became a Handgun Safety Trainer to help others that are seeking a quality training experience but do not know how to get the training they want. I am passionate about gun safety and believe that education is the solution to eliminating gun-related accidents. I believe that the most effective way for me to meet my personal goals for your training is to offer only individual and small group training. Training in a large group does not allow enough one-on-one time to effectively assure understanding and practical application of the learning objectives. I do not believe in the “one training model fits all philosophy” for a class as important as your Gun Safety Training. Once you finish your one day class, the learning does not end there. My class includes a practice manual with drills to help you to continue practicing and improving your new shooting skills. It is my goal to make certain that everyone I train is knowledgeable and competent beyond the North Carolina minimums by assuring that you exceed all requirements of the NCJA Concealed Carry Handgun Training. My full time job is as a Technical Trainer/Instructional Designer for a Fortune 500 company, teaching hardware and software implementation.
